Is this the final design of the Teclast M30?

Hunt for mention of the M30 on Chinese search engine Baidu and most all the tech websites are showing this set of pics:

M30

I'm not sure; do you think it has a AMOLED screen?

Buried below is mention of "dual core" and "WM8987", so things are looking good!

Why the doubt... in your link all talk of AMOLED which is the core of the promotion for M25 and M30... would Teclast lie?
Anyway such screen will display 2.8" and 260k colours which is a bit outdated.

"Dual core" means Rockchip RK2706 chip + WOLFSON WM8987G audio codec chips. The same combination as C280 and Onda VX858 (both previous models) which brings excellent results.

What have been increased in this RK2706 is video formats adding Real video beside AVI and FLV... and it seems that support cover art, which is really good.

Control touch lights seems to act similar to strips of Meizu players, more precisely M6.

The big questions for me as a rockchip fan is if the software have been improved from the rather primitive RK2606. Cover Art is a step forward and surely the initial enhancements shown in C260 will be increased... something that i really want to see soon.

I guess my sarcasm was way too subtle...I think the word "AMOLED" appeared about 15 times on that webpage.

And thank you, yes, I know what Teclast means by "dual core", which however sexy the name, is a complete misnomer. "Twin chip" would be a more accurate label and even that is incorrect by definition.

The admin over at MP4Nation has a brief write-up of the RAmos RM970, the 1st player out of the gate with the new 2700-series Rockchip:

RM970

Yeah, looks good to me, but no great departure...definitely looks like a Teclast-family player. With that cool screen, the new series of Rockchip, and the same Wolfson chip as in Meizu & Oppo, it's looking like a nice little bump up for their small, non-touchscreen players.

Ironic and subtle guy...

Ramos RM970 is not based in Rockchip but in ARM7, this PMP also has NES emulator, which is a bit strange for a Rockchip.
It sports a screen of 3.0" with a resolution of 400x240 which is relation 16:9 if I'm not wrong.

Then the first RK2706 in the market will be Teclast M25 & M30

Well, actually the c280 and vx858 run on a rk2608A and wm8750 (but not sure if Onda uses a separate codec, or the rockchip's built-in one), hence the new Teclast uses much better hardware.

And yes MY Onda VX858 is rockchip + wolfson... with an additional feature which is Microsoft PlayFX... giving as result an awesome sound

That I did not know...I based that on the photos/preview from PConline.com.cn that showed a "PlayFX/Rockchip" sticker on the back of the 970. The text also mentioned the 2700-series chip.

Yes, that is why I said "a nice little bump up" in my previous post. The WM8987 is the same chip used in Meizu M6sl and Oppo V9 & S5...a step up from the more common WM8750.
