| Bug in 1.30 First off, i just want to say since v1.30 is beta, I half expected at least 1 major bug.
In one of my last posts, i said how my player died suddenly, and i thought it was the battery overheating (well i did have it on for 3 days straight), but i was wrong.
It recently happened to me again, in the exact same way, and this time after 2 days of not using my T39.
I was watching a movie, pressed the menu button to save my spot, and the screen went black.
It is in fact a firmware error. Last time i waited 3 days, and it started again. I thought the battery cooled down in those three days, but what actually happened was the battery died (yes it actually lasted 40 hours, It died around 10am, tried the morning of the 3rd day and it still wouldn't start, meaning standby time is actually the 40 hours first suggested by teclast).
This time when it happened to me i noticed one thing that i failed to see last time. The screen was still lit.
The back light was still glowing, very dimly, but it was still on. I pressed the force shutdown button, then the player started again.
It worked perfectly fine again afterwards. It was able to charge, connect usb and everything else i do on a daily basis.
When i attempted to see if the bug would occur again, it didn't. I attempted to make this error occur, but after 50 attempts at pressing the menu button during the same movie (It was Dead or Alive during both the first failures), it only failed once.
This means, for my player at least, there is a 1 in 50 chance of failure when saving your spot in a movie.
Is this happening to anyone else? Well for now i think i might switch back to version 1.29.
