Wink Bingo!

Guess what! I tried to duplicate the problem that Mr DJ M is talking about. Guess what I found! A Pasen that is responding much the same way as his. At 0 degrees viewing angle screen looks perfect rich red color in main menu (meaning screen 1 correct ROM). But as soon as I turn it 30 degrees, it gets white!
I then checked some Branded Teclast, 1st Run Non Branded T39, and more Pasens. No other ones with white screen at 90 degrees. What the hec is causing this? They are definately screen 1 ROMs because all 3 other ROMS make the screen look orange and washed out, so firmware is correct for screen.

I have tried loading all 4 screen types on this funny Pasen, and it is behaving the same way. So my conclusion is, either you have a screen 5 with the wrong ROM (don't think there is a screen 5), or you have a broken screen, which I cannot explain. But this washed out light is so ridiculous, I think there is another ROM for these 2 bad ones, there must be.

But in any case, I am sending a new Pasen to you after you return the funny screen one. Please look at the photos.... There is a huge difference as soon as you begin to rotate the player. Thanks for pointing this out. I have learned something new (and bad) today. I must add rotating T39s screen to QC process.

Took some pictures of my 8GB Pasen Touchmusic, is this similar to the issue that's being discussed?

I also occasionally get the flickering issue on the player. It doesn't seem to be as severe as yours but it's noticeable if I stare closely enough at the screen.

Unhappy Bad angle T39 screen

Yep,

Now there are two options:

1: This is simply a new screen that we didn't receive the ROM for - they email new firmware
(pretty stupid to do this considering Pasen firmware is ONLY ROM 1)

2: The screen is simply defective in some way but Teclast factory will not admit it or accept returns

Unfortuneately,
All the Teclast people are currently at Cebit in Hannover Germany, so I will have to wait until they return to China to ask why some screens are doing this and some don't.

@SkySports: Really good you found this out and I hope the factory can gives some info and solutions. Thanks for your great service

Smile Factory policies???

Thanks,

I just hope they actually consider the funny angle ones "broken" so I can return them to China and get them replaced. Or even better it is new type of screen that needs a different firmware. If not, I may be eating the cost (once again). At least this time, they are getting Pasen, not me. I don't feel alone anymore. A sigh of relief....

The new player arived yesterday, and indeed it's much better as SkySports talled and showed. The "flickering and bouzing" of the screen is sometimes their, but I think that has something to do with the voltage of the battery that of course lowers when it's getting used.
I charged the player now for a while and I can't see it anymore.

The viewing angle of the new screen (The total viewing angle is bigger but all the viewing angles within the picture are showing where you can watch movies etc. in a good way):

So the Mobiblu screen has a better the type of viewing angle, because it's optimal for a player that you use sidewards and not as an Iphone. The collors of the T10 are also a bid deeper, the contrast a bid higher and it refreshes way more (you can see the low refreshingrate of the Pasen screen when you set the brightness to 8), but with the latest firmware for the T10, not anymore (except for the refresingrate). Conclusion, the screen of the T10 is better, but not so much and ofcourse the T39/Touchmusic is way better with all the other features and hardware.

I also bought the Md Kanon's of SkySports and I'm testing them right now. They're pritty good, but I will do that review later.

I also a different theme for the T39/TouchMusic. It's based on the Vista theme so it's for firmware version 1.29. I made one with the Vista theme menu pictograms, and one with the pictograms of the T10 firmware. I say enjoy

Hi, I got it true SkiSports at Ebay. He's the owner of Futuredaps, but 'he hasn't got the player anymore at the moment (at least I thought so). I say go to his website and contact him!

..and now also something I posted at mp4nation:

I was wondering a few things. I found in a thread at mp4nation that the T39 should now play flv! My player with firmware V1.29 doesn't, also the dictionarry doesn't work (don't want to open or do anything) and there's something strange with the way it plays music.

I sett the player to repeat all and if a map has ended sometimes it goes back to the first song in the map, sometimes it goes to another map bad not one that is the follwing (acording to the map structure and so also to our alphabet).

Does this sound people for milliar?

Later this week I will getting a pair of Teac Ze-1000 earphones, as they got their white noice I will do a review of the Kanon's Md-52 and compare them to the Sennheiser CX-300's and the Teac's. I think that's the best. Reviews of people who can't compare doesn't make mostley that much sence on this subject

ok

1st the Flv was a beta that teclast has not finished.
2nd the problem with playing music you need to mut it where it says "all dir".. in settings and click on it until it says Dir. that fixes that.
3rd dictionary does not work in english only in chinese so it there when i set my player to chinese language i can use dictionary but it funny because when i use the dicitonary all the words are in english..
