I've been reading this interesting page forum.MP3Store.pl > Wielki Spis Platform Dla Playerów Mp3 in Polish where are described somehow accurately what are the chips which support some know players.

This after I see screens of Teclast T39 which look pretty similar to Cowon D2 (an incredible performer I have bought lately).

I wonder what would happen if I load a T39 firmware in my D2?

Both Telechips and Wolfson are different models anyway

A T39 firmware version wouldn't work on a D2. :P

Pretty similar? The interface is an almost exact copy of the D2!

The Chinese seem to have no creativity and can only copy electronics, cars, etc from Japan, Korean, and the West

So? let them copy, as long as the product is better or as good as the original one just a lot cheaper, I will be happy. I talk about Meizu here.

But T39 is not as good, not much cheaper, buggy, and feels like it could break any second.

Chinese players are cheaper because they spend nothing on research, development, and testing. I'll never buy one again!

Ok I was a touch harsh, but in the UK the price advantage is no longer enough and the Chinese really need to raise their quality and support.

When I got my T39 the options were:

4GB Teclast T39 = £100
4GB iAudio D2 = £145 (Out of stock everywhere)

If I was buying now, the options are:

4GB Teclast T39 = £80
4GB Samsung P2 = £101
4GB iRiver Clix2 = £119
4GB iAudio D2 = £140

You'd have to be insane to buy a T39 now when the Samsung costs only a little more!

True, but one problem well with me anyways that samsung iriver and cowon "i audio" dont seem to have a very strong community as Chinese players due. Chinese daps have a vast majority of forums "like this one" to help you out with your problems. Also firmware releases on non chinese companys kinda suck. I love chinese releases because there something bug with other countries its nothing special just a few bug fixes here and there like when i bought my teclast i didnt know it can support Flv Wma Album Art Picture browser and many other feature then when i first got it.I got one of the original teclast's and its great never had a problem with it. I'v owned the cowon d2 as well and let me tell you i had so much problems with it first its bulky second jet audio would freeze up alot not asmuch battery life as t39 i hated the D2. The samsung i tried at best buy nothing special and the touch screen isnt very responsive.
