It says "No driver needed under Windows ME, 2000,XP or above"

So that means it can't be Rockchip right?

Rockchip players do not need drivers under modern operating systems?

So the "Rock USB Driver" that I've seen mentioned in various MP4 player manuals... That's only required for firmware updates?

Whatever... I'm only interested in this player as a source of alternative firmware for my T39.

Teclast T39 is not a rockchip player... it's based on chip Telechip TCC8200 and has a Wolfson DAC... hardly that machine shown will run T39 firmware.

These two are very different devices T39 is 2.6" screen and haven't mini SD slot.

No, no, no... I said I wonder if firmware for this will work on my T39, not the other way around. And we don't know if it's Rockchip or not. It could be a licensed/unlicensed copy from another company with additional features...or just an artists impression of an unrelated player that's not out yet.

We've seen copies of the C260 and C280, so maybe now someone has copied the T39... and maybe done a better job than Teclast!

Also the 2.6" that Teclast quote is b*llsh*t... They include area used for buttons on the right! Measure the actual display area and it's 2.4".

What you don't understand lhassal is that we all are sure of this.
I for one know that model very well,I saw it personally,so why don't you wanna believe us?
It's a rockchip STOP.Not that it couldn't be Telechip just from the images, but it's rockchip simply because we know it.There is no way you can install a rfw firmware on your T39,you won't be even able to brick your player, because the player will totally ignore that file. You can also see from the spec,it's the classical shitty spec of rockchip, not even of the most advanced rockchip firmwares.

Really? Post some evidence then. Find me a manufacturer product page or firmware download page? Who's the hardware manufacturer? What chips does it use? Unless it's backed up with evidence no-one should trust the opinion of a couple of people posting on forum!

Just because you're "sure" of it doesn't make it true! Hundreds of years ago people where "sure" the world was flat and "sure" that the sun rotated around the Earth. Thankfully, some people question others opinions... Unfortunately if you do it on a forum get flamed for it

Of course not... You clearly think I'm an idiot

If it's really Rockchip based then fine... I was only trying to find more info in the hope that it might be an interesting new clone (Like Vtec V39, Emgeton M7, Pasen TouchMusic, etc...).

And the spec lists almost everything that the T39 does... so you're kind of saying the T39 is "shitty" also!
