It's unbranded but it is a tl-39. have heard complaints of of them being made cheap and feeling loose in the case, just wanted to ease peoples minds.

DaremoS, I have just returned from a business trip to China. I toured the factory where all the Teclasts are made. I also had contact with most of the overseas sales team for many days. I can honestly tell you that there is no quality difference between branded and non branded teclasts. Teclast is the Taiwan client for this player, but since china and Taiwan share the same language, the Teclast version is the most common in China. There is no client for this player inside China. I saw some non branded teclast being sold in large retail stores in Guangzhou, which was a bit of a surprise. The only reason some teclasts are branded and some are not is the client’s choice. Since, No one but Teclast is allowed to use the Teclast brand, many clients choose to have a non branded player instead of something people don’t recognize. As far as I know, there is no knockoff fake version of the teclast from a different factory, YET.
I have sold both the non branded and teclast versions of the players, and the return/defect rate is exactly the same for both. Just remember that all the different branded versions of the teclast are made in the same exact factory. If you want to talk about an authentic teclast, then the non branded TianJio version is the most authentic real one. Please don’t start any incorrect rumours.

Smile Different C260s

Toneoner,

I want to be very careful about what I say concerning this. Some people were under the impression that the Neo Zazz 8gB C280s might be modified in some way because the teclast firmware was incompatible.

It turns out that Neo Zazz is a proper client of the same teclast factory. The 8GB C280 has been available all along (new news to me), and it seems that people were simply not upgrading the firmware properly. In fact the gentleman who owns Neo Zazz was in the Teclast booth with me at one time during the China sourcing fair. Neo Zazz has exactly the same supplier contact as I do. This is all very good news for Neo Zazz customers. All the neo zazz players should be compatible with teclast firmware if upgraded correctly.

The point is, maybe this C260 with the speaker is a knockoff and maybe this is a version from the same factory that we don't even know about yet. I am leaning towards what you think, that this cannot possibly be the real thing. Probably not compatible with teclast firmware either, so I wouldn't buy one. But I don't want to make the mistake of making any hasty judgements either.

No incorrect rumours concerning Teclast whatsoever... I am talking of a Zima product that was indeed bad manufactured http://www.zimaelectronics.com/produ...es_zm1600.html after 2 days a key was broken... replaced by Customer Support... indeed I was not capable to enjoy this horrible player... back to the damn provider!!!
