I got a T 39 from US to India After reading about it in this forum . it has menu-note vol+ vol_ interface. I tries to upgrade with a firmware available in this forum but got resources error and use software version 88 twice after which it completely went blank . now it is not recognised as a drive at all and is recognisd as a unknown USB device in windows xp. It is also not powering on . I wrote a mail to the seller who have promptly written back asking me to send the unit back for repair or replacement as it is under one year warranty . but sending it from India and getting a replacement is a little difficult and if any of the forum members can help me restore this I shall be really obliged .I got the first run firmware from this forum now but unable to copy it as the unit is not recognised as a disk at all . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm.... sounds like you have a "bricked" player... Usually, that is very bad, from everything I have read.

have you reset the player with reset-switch next to the earphone-socket?

Yes I tried resetting. The problem is it is not recognised as aUSB drive but as an unknown USB Device. It also does not power on. I tried downloading the tool kit and tried to install the driver, but under Windows XP , unable to detect and install the driver files. I appreciate your help and anyother help I can get. Thanks
