T39 voice recorder

The feature associated with sound recording just says:
"Recording function"
It is not clear whether the T39 has a built-in voice recorder or not?
Does it not have a built-in mic?

and what about a FM recording?

I believe it both has a built-in mic and supports FM recording.

It doesn't have a built in mic, you need to plug one into the phones socket like with line-in, different levels.

The mic I have is pretty low in volume when used with the T39 and the quality is low - O.K. for voice.

A Good Explanation

First of all... There's 2 type of RECORDING FACILITY embedded to the t39.
1st one - line-in... meaning that you just plug any sound device (microphone or other mp3 player) and START to record...
2nd. There's a built-in microphone so as to record... same as MOBILE PHONES

The PROBLEM arises when you have to select the right one.

For this... it's easy... just go to the recording program and see the options of RECORD SOURCE so as you can select whether you wanna record by means of LINE-IN or BUILT-IN MICRO.

I have t29 - same
(LINE-IN and BUILT-IN MICRO function)

and i bet the t39 is the evolution on t29... and i also bet about the fact that i told you just above guys!!!

so looks like the T39 does have a muilt-in mic?

ckinnane's review on the T39 (and now in this post too) mentioned that it did not have a built-in mic, so thats why I wanted to check on that.

now Err0r and kabyraj17 seem to be confirming that it does have a built-in mic.

so ckinnane perhaps you could check it again and confirm...?

It has an internal microphone and line in. Both the line in recording and the radio recording on mines sound good, but both seem choppy (skips every ~7 secs).

This weekend, I successfully recorded the entire CHAKA KHAN concert at the LUXOR in Las Vegas (for personal enjoyment only), and it actually sounds pretty decent...

Apologies, It was so much lower in volume than the C260.
I didn't pick it up the first time.
No wonder I had difficulties when plugging an external mic in.

Its not as good as the C260 for recording level - I don't even know where they put the mic, since the little hole on the side for reset.
