I was trusting PHILLIP on that one, I am guessing he's right, since there was something funny about using his firmware on my device - I'll take his explanation until I find a better one (if there is one).

The firmware he had, had no sign of the logo Teclast on it anywhere.

That makes me think someone has made a copy of the T39 with a cheaper chip in it or maybe just the first production run as he said.

I don't know if its rockchip, I just can't see a reason why the same hardware would produce different results with the same firmware.
