Lightbulb 2 Firmware Teams

Hello,

I have heard a rumour that there are currently 2 firmware development teams at the Teclast factory for the T39. At the moment, 1 team is improving the 2nd run version, and one team is improving the 1st run version. Just because the second run is at 1.07 does not mean that it is any more stable than .99 for the first run.

So for example, version .99 first run is completely different than .99 second run, if they are at the same version.

As for the first run being at version .99, I have heard that this is the most stable version so far, for both teams, and therefore there is no reason to jump up to a 1.00. The team working on the first run firmware has decided if it isn't broken, why fix it.

That is not to say that the Teclast team has buggy firmware for every single version, and they have to keep updating. They may simply be experimenting more than the first run team.

So if my T39 has 0.99v, there is nothing to worry, right? That's good news. Maybe after all that time they keep us waiting, we can expecting something extra? We will see...

Thanks SkySport for all explanations Now i can sleep peacefully

Thumbs up No need to worry

Hello,

Since there appears to be a temporary worldwide shortage of T39 right now, everyone should feel fortunate to own one. As for .99 firmware for 1st run T39, consider the fact that when the T29 reached 1.07, the firmware coders stopped at this version too.

When a new firmware version is released for 1st run T39, I am receiving the file directly from my supplier. When I ask, I am told that .99 is the new one, so no worries.

You have no idea how difficult it is to place an order for the T39 right now. I am all sold out and the line for placing new orders is currently 2 months behind. Be lucky to have one.....

Cheers

I want to get a T39 for a good price, and obvioulsy I want a 2nd run since it would hold less problems??

How can I know which version I actually get upon recieving, also is the 'best' software for the players, the most recent release of firmware?

Anyone know anything about the Meizu M6?? That was another choice of mine.

Smile No Problems

Hello,

I understand your frustration. Imagine how frustrated all the export sellers are when they find out that their buttons are different than the Teclast version.

In your case, as a buyer, I would be most concerned about which button panel the player has. All the early players had problems. I think all the new ones for sale right now are at least 3rd run or newer (although my store can't seem to get any). Both button panel types have very good stable firmware right now.

The biggest issue is whether you will want to be able to download the official teclast firmware off the teclast official website and load it on your player. If this is the case, and you don't want to go hunting for the "lcd-icon edition" firmware (old buttons) then you should buy a chinese teclast from overseas.

Basically, I would ask the seller what type of button panel the player has. If it is the teclast version, and the seller is located in China, you can bet the player has the teclast button arrangement. With the newest Teclast firmware, all the sofware related bugs have been resolved, so don't worry about that.

Skysports I remember a while ago you said that you would be stocking up more of the T39 during September. When will they be coming? I have some cash set aside for a 8GB T39 and I really wanna buy one now.
