Seems that the VIDEO interface resembles that of Windows Media Player 11

Well he tested T39 with older firmware, maybe that is the big problem,
but he also wrote me: Little change of point of view and the colors of movie became crazy - this cant fix firmware :/
But anyway we should wait for more reviews, and i want T39 too

Based on what others have posted, apparently it performs better with a firmware update. The firmware conforms to a different screen configuration of the touch senstive buttons on the right hand side of the screen (the domestic chinese version as opposed to the export version the rest of us purchase).

The firmware update helps, though it does change the order of the functions along the right side of the screen.

The biggest issues I've had so far are:

- There is no media library function whatsoever - ID3 tags are useless.

- The GUI is inconsistent i.e. the video interface is not like the others.

- There's a bizarre 'looseness' when the player is lightly shaken.

- Some settings do not function correctly.

- Battery life is roughly half previously claimed.

The Good Is:

- The T39 Sounds Really Good!

- The Exterior Design Is Very Handsome.

- The Touch Screen Is Responsive and Fairly Accurate

- The External Speaker Is A Nice Extra.

Tell me guys, can we write notes in ENGLISH when the t39 has been updated with the latest firmware?
Will the player recognize ENGLISH handwriting?
And can we use other sticks, e.g. a pencil, to select options on the t39?

DaHarder, when you're saying that 'The External Speaker Is A Nice Extra.' Does it mean that it plays quite loud? Loud as a NOKIA N70 Phone or a SONY ERICSON WALKMAN... huh or very weak sound!!!

When you say "looseness", does it sound like internal broken parts, or does it sound like the ckt board is not mounted properly in the case?

Please explain about the settings that do not function properly.

For the battery life thing, I assume you followed the directions for the charging. Sounds like quite the ordeal to get a battery to charge properly, only to get 1/2 battery life...
