hello brasso

Grab some brasso from the cleaning products aisle of your grocery store. I have yet to try it on my scratched up screen. If you need help look up brasso on youtube. Here's a tip so you don't scratch it again: NEVER stick your teclast in your pocket unless it is the ONLY thing in your pocket.

Actually a plastic polish will work much better.
You can usually find different brands at an auto parts store.

I use a plastic polish called Novis for my Slot & Pachinko machines. I use it on clear lenses all the time and it does a great job.
You can find it on Ebay.

Brasso can be used, you'll need just a very little bit and keep rubbing it in the scratch line with a soft cloth in a circular manner.
You'll end up with a "blurred" screen due to the Brasso's abrasive nature, but at the same time the line is removed.
Next, you need to polish up the screen to get back the transparent smooth shine. Maybe an electric polisher would be useful as it would take ages using your hands.

Any cloth would do, old clothing is fine, as long as it's soft and not stiff.

What i'll suggest is that you test it on a piece of old plastic (eg old cd jewel case), and see if you are comfortable with removing it manually rather than with an electric polisher. As it really would take upto a few hours to polish it by hand.

And if possible, remove the front casing from the player, just in case you damage the player.
