RAmos 970 .FLV Help

I recently bought the RAmos 970 and I'm having a little bit of a problem.
I'm not quite sure how to add flv videos. I just drag and drop into the Removable Disk Drive, and its working fine with my mp3s and avis, but I've yet to try RMVB also.
Is it because of the format Im using? When I right the flv file and go to properties, it says-
Type of File: FLV File
What I don't understand is when I convert the Flv's into avi's they work perfectly. Does the player not support flv or do I need to download the newest firmware first?

what version of firmware do you have, firmware 2.10 onards supports flv, if your is 2.03 then no and only selected flv files work any way i tested several sites and only youtube abd google flv files would play, this is apparently down to which converter was used to create the flv and some set certain things wong to the adobe format so will not play
