Hi every one. I started this thread to help concentrate everything there is about the Vidego28 all in one place as there is conflicting information on the net about this device.

For example there is a thread that says the Onda VX858 firmware update can be used for the Vidego28 to improve its touch screen capabilities and audio playing gui enhancements. Another thread says that if you try to put the Onda VX858 firmware on any of its clones you have a 99.9% chance of damaging your device without any mention if the Vidego28 is included.

So I think a debate should ensue and hopefully a good conclusion will come out of this.

This is for people who want to change its skin, add java games to it, and make it do tricked out things. This is a challenge for software artists to make cool things like porting iphone inspired enhancements, screensavers, etc. For those audio programmers who want to add new features like crossfading, eq templates for different music genres, and new gui's etc.

This player still has great potential. It was cheap in price when it came out 11 months ago, and has been cut in half since. You can now get this thing for about 50 bucks!

Enthusiasts all over the world are welcome, from Europe, Russia, Palestine, California, Colombia, Israel, China, Mexico, India, Brooklyn ... let's get it cracking!

p.s. If its possible, can this thread be moved to its own main topic, that way we can better organize the information that will be building here in the next coming weeks? Im volunteering to moderate it.

Reply to this if you know of accessories that are compatible with the Vidego28. The ITouch is very similar to the Vidego28 in structure. So if you have a Vidego28 and use ITouch accessories on it, please share your knowledge here.

The link is a bit deceptive but I assume they intend to collect links of all the accessories themselves. They only have a screen protector and a zagg bag.

Here is a discussion on converting Tivo video to the Vidego28 automatically. Well I didnt really see to much about the automation process, but it does have good information on mimicking the specs of the video converter it comes which cant be used for automation from Tivo to the Vidego28.

Last time a new firmware update came along I installed it and I had to re-jailbreak my iPhone. Is there a way to update to the latest firmware and keep the iPhone jailbroken?
