What Player is this?

It looks like a VX858 Onda, but the motherboard is not Onda. Unfortunately, I have the wrong firmware installed.
After installing the wrong firmware, the device was capable to turn‐on, boot‐up showing the Onda Boot Screen, and
then show the menu items; it also was capable to be turned‐off using the slide‐button at the top and shows the Onda
Shutdown Screen.
I turned‐on the device and connected it to the PC: the PC didn't recognize it (no new device message or any mass
storage in the directory) and the device showed the menu screen. I turned‐off and then connected to the PC: the device
turned‐on and showed the menu screen, but again, there were no new device message or no storage devices in the PC.
I pressed the RESET button thru the little hole by the right‐side, the device resets and turned‐on. Everything continues
behaving the same, except that now it couldn't be possible to turn‐off the device.
I decide to flash the firmware with a known‐good one but because I couldn't access the SETTINGS menu, it wasn't
possible to place the device in upgrade mode using the UPGRADE menu item within the SETTINGS menu. I tried the
EXTERNAL MENU BUTTON method (as suggested in a forum and also explained in the manual), but it didn't worked, too.

What can I do????

Where did you buy it? It might be a OEM rockchip player (no-branded onda).

I have bought the player at ebay. McPlayer GetIn Touch MP3 MP4 Player 4GB im Alucase bei eBay.de: (endet 02.03.08 21:00:00 MEZ)
I think it is a clone of Onda me an unknown manufacturer. I now have many different versions of the firmware testing, but it has not worked. Every time the menu was blocked.
