Hi!
I have a problem i buy a ONDA VX747 Clone 8gb player all fine i tested all after i go to settings > Display Settings at Display settings i find the Display Brightness i change it to 5 and after Player turns off and black screen so now i cant turn on the player

Anybody know what can i do ? it's arrived tomorrow and i don't test it like watch movies and listen music it's death after 10 minutes using ;(

Okey screen is black but i can turn on music .. and Touch screen working so problem at display ?

Hi Fufy,

It seems that you set the display brightness to an all off level. Basically the player's firmware allowed you to do something it shouldn't have allowed you to do--totally turn off the display's backlight. It could also be a bug in the player's firmware.

Unfortunately, you bought a clone player so I don't really think you have much you can do other than try to contact the seller and see what the seller has to say about it. There probably is no firmware upgrade that you can do for it but if you can get a copy of the same firmware that is already in your player, updating the firmware might reset the player's settings and thus bring back the display backlight for you. I think though you probably need the display working to update the firmware on the RK2706 based player in the first place though. Does the user manual have anything in it about updating the firmware (keep in mind that the user manuals that come with public brand clone players are usually really bad)

In the future I recommend staying away from clone versions of the Onda VX747. The real VX747 (including real unbranded) most likely has better video playback performance than the clones anyway (I base this statement on the fact that I have had better video playback results on a VX747 with Ingenic JZ4732 chip than I have had on Rockchip RK2706 chip based players).
