Hi i have ordered a onda 747 4GB and it should be coming in a couple of days

hi

onda players use the ingenics chip and this can support SDHC cards no problem

just one thing

where did you buy it from, because on ebay there are imitation players that look exactly like the 747 but are in fact running a rockchip processor instead of the proper ingenics processor, if this is the case then not will not be an onda and will not be able to use onda updates and firmwares

there have been cases of ebay sellers claiming them too be oem onda 747 players from same factory but they are not

thanks for the reply makd511
yes i did buy this on ebay for $48 bucks heres the link:
4GB 2.8" LCD Touch Screen MP3/MP4 FM Player Free Ship - (eBay.ca item 170255345984 end time 26-Aug-08 23:09:57 EDT)
it doesnt really say the brand of this unit, but from the pictures and description it should be a vx747
so i did ask the seller about this question and he said it can support a maxium of 16GB but im still not so sure because it seems like hes not sure of what SDHC is....

Hi,

The player you bought is most likely a Rockchip 2608A clone of an Onda VX858 (which is also Rockchip 2608A). The Rockchip 2608A is not SDHC compatible.

well i am sorry but from that ebay page i would say - how the hell do you determine what the hell you are getting

thats the worst page i have seen for ages, it shows several different images, some of the vx858, which david rightly points is old 26 series rockchip and pics of the 747 player

have you actually got the player in hand yet cos until you get it its impossible to know what the hell you will recieve

i would personally screen grab that page and put a paypal claim in for fraud

AAAARRRGGGHHH - his kind of ebay shit really pisses me off cos buyers like you are being lied to and scammed, i would trust nothing on that page at all, all info is mixed up all images are mixed up

if your player ends up looking like this

.. then it is in o way and onda vx747, it will not even be an onda vx858 clone

please report back as soon as you get the player but i would put together some evidence for a paypal claim no matter what, get your money back and come back here and we will find you a decent player that will not fall apart in a few weeks

sorry for my tone but i hate these ebay seller and the players they sell, the players are cheap, nasty and made for quick sale only, not for use

sorry again

WOW!

I thought Ebay and SquareTrade kept this kinda crap off of Ebay.
Too bad you already bid - and won.....

But like makd511 said, do a screen grab of that page, and also 'report' that auction to Ebay.

Located on the bottom of the auction page.

makd511, i havent got the player in hand yet, it should arrive within a couple of days
ill make sure your updated as soon as i get it
also, i asked him on ebay wether the player i ordered is authenic he said yes and the reason he doesnt state the brands or model is because hes the manufactor for Onda, so the players themselves are made for onda but hes selling it on ebay so he cant state the brand names.
lol
thx for the inputs

sorrry mate, but that is the biggest load of bull i have ever heard, believe me these guys will say anything and always claim to be the manufacturer, but they are not, believe me, they are not, the factory hat produce players for onda, and many other, would not be selling on ebay like this at all, if i am wrong then whip me, but just look at the ebay page, they uses 2 different players totally in the images, now if this is the manufacturer for onda dont you think they would be able to tell the difference between the 2 players

i await your word on what you actually get in the post

send them a message and ask if the player has an rockchip 26 series chip or a 27 series chip as you want to convert some videos ready for when the player arrives, the 2 hips can accept different types of video, and see what the answer is, this mat determine their knowledge

i ahve reported thi listing myself, everything about that listing is wrong, even the product description is wrong, MTV, as mentioned is for completely different player, besides vx747 are 3" screens not 2.8

you will receive the player images i posted before and not the vx747 player, there is no way you

hah finally got my player today, it actually looks decent.
Its got bascially everything that was stated on his ebay page, cept that it uses MiniSD but not MicroSD.
on the manual it says it supports a max of 4GB miniSD which doesnt match with the maxium 16G the seller told me on ebay.
either way i think this isnt too bad of a deal for a 4G mp4 player when you compare it to the prices in the canadian market

so i just want to know how do i find out the version of rockchip??

thx
