VX858 Upgrade in Vista

Good day! I just bought an ONDA VX858 Clone - IKO ET-UC40
And i wanted to upgrade the Firmware which i downloaded here!
I go to Settings -> Upgrade and i insert the USB but my Vista Ultimate x64 Can't locate the driver. I've already installed Consumer Update and i found a driver for Vista here, but still not working!
Please, help me!
Thanks!

just a question

how do you know the firmware from here is compatible

there are SOOOOO many of these out now with different firmware and hardware that the chance of this code working on your player is remote, will brick it probably

besides there will be no improvements as the firmware for these players stopped quite a while ago

honestly, do not do it. so many have broken their player thinking it a genuine ONDA clone but it was not, many many many factories produce these now and you have more than a 95% chance .. no, 99% chance of breaking your player

if you want only to mod then you will need to find the original firmware and that will be impossible, no firmware can be extracted from these players either, no new firmware has been made in a while and your player will have the latest so if there are problems send it back

also the quality of these clones now is very poor

DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADEDO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE
DO NOT UPGRADE

as you can see i am quite persistent in this, but for your own good, leave the player the way it is, its the best that it can be right now, if its not right SEND IT BACK before you invalidate your warranty and lose money

Nope, i bought it from average electronics shop.

I searched in Google for some articles about the upgrade, and there realy was many people who said that their Onda Like MP4 is not working after the upgrade.

But can i try to upgrade if i do have the old firmware version???

where would you get the old version from, if on the cd then be careful as many times cd contents do not match the player

also it may be poss to recover but it may mean taking the player apart and shorting the memory pins
