Question Onda vx989+ English manual ?
Hello !

I've just got my new Onda vx989+ MP4 player, nice stuff but where can I download an english manual ?

I have found nothing on Onda web site

I don't think there is one... why do you need the manual / what do you need help with?

Either to upgrade the firmware and to use some functions (radio / recording...)

To upgrade simply copy the firmware in the player and turn it off.Then keep the joystick pointing down and start it.It will start the update.

I have a vx989p.hxf file

I have erased all the files, so VX989P.HXF is the only file on the disk...

And this don't work also... No upgrade seems possible !!!



Somebody can help ?

Press the middle of the joystick while it's turned off, and turn the player on with the joystick pressed.

I have tried to change the filename, no luck. The only filename inside the firmware seems to be user_data\ccpmp.hxf

I have tried all positions of the joystick, no luck also.

The file seems to be a valid Chinachip PMP firmware V1.0

What else can I do ???

Do you have reformatted the disk (fat 32) before the upgrade ?

Do you have reset to factory default (chinese) ?

Please help !
