Follow these steps to update the firmware on your ONDA VX858, VX858 LE and/or VX878 player.

Instructions

1. Download the latest ONDA firmware for your player.
2. Download ConsumerUpdate 3.1.0.0 and install it.
3. Extract the ONDA firmware (using WinRAR) you downloaded and load the extracted file using ConsumerUpdate.
4. Turn on your player, press Settings (bottom right square).
5. In the Settings screen, go to Firmware Update (bottom right square again).
6. Connect your ONDA player to your computer via USB.
7. After Windows is ready, press the "Update" button in ConsumerUpdate.
8. The firmware is now upgrading. It may take a while, so do not cancel this proccess.
9. Congratulations, you have now upgraded the firmware.

All files will be erased, so make sure to backup important data prior to upgrading.

I just got my Onda Vx878 on tuesday the 15th and I am in love, I had some issues but after upgrading to the latest firmware with these instructions posted by Error, I am happy camper. I never thought I would love this little device so much.
Can anyone tell me what actual changes the firmware covered. I had problems with boot time and language selection but all that is gone. I am interested in skinning or installing new themes any ideas?
This was meant for my nephew but I can't part with it, well maybe until i get the new 3.0 inch 797, I'm slobbering, at 45 years old to be so in love with my bus commute video player. I could never afford the Ipod, and I am glad I found this site and mpxplayer.org.
I also bought a glacier its dead I fried it trying to flash the firmware, and I also have a Centon MoVox its gonna be a valentine gift for a friend. It's small but awesome little 4gb 1.8"lcd the radio doesn't need headphones and it has a great speaker if it came larger I would have bought it in a 2.4 but my Onda owns me now.

dai vai para o menu principal e pronto.

O que posso fazer para voltar o processo?

I followed these steps and when ever I plug my player to the usb it freezes and nothing happens, I left it for a couple hours because it said it was slow but still nothing happened. Can anyone please help?

I Have A Vidego28 Super Talent And I Visted This Forums And I Downladed The Firmwares Ondavx858 I Have Two Firmwares And I Use The Version Vx858_00.00.0017 In This Version Apears Whit Skin Of Windows Vista But I Had A Serious Problem , Now I Cant Acces To It With The Cable Usb , Windows Dont Reconize It , And After I Put The Firmware Vx858_00.0021 And Working To But My Vidego Was 4g And Now Only Apears 1.5 G, What Can I Do For Fix This Problem? Plase Help Me? Do You Think That I Can Do Somthing For Fix It? And Will Have 4g Again?

I also upgraded the firmware Vx858_00.0020 and after that I no longer recognizes the USB and the display tactil this is not as locked and unlocked please if anyone can I do to leave as soon or at least to return to unlock the change Firmware that this default
