miniplayer or T29

Im probably going to get one of these 2:

Miniplayer has a bigger screen w/higher res, and may have a better build quality overall, but it is more expensive and has poor extras - games dont sound very fun and what is the point of that calendar and stopwatch?

T29 is cheaper, has extra features that I might actually use, and looks cooler (IMO).

Which has better build quality though? Does anyone know what is planned in future T29 firmware?

Thanks.

Re: miniplayer or T29

They are both good players, but I think are targeted at different groups.

The Teclast is cheaper and has a more "daring" design and interface.

The Meizu is more expensive and has a more conventional (iPod/Zen-like) interface and a less original design.

It is hard to say, I believe that which ever you choose you will not regret it.

Wow It's very hard to choose. I very like them both, but each one have his preferences on the other.

Re: miniplayer or T29

one "big" advantage with T29 is its smaller size and the weight.

T29: 44gram
m6: 56 gram

I own both players and tend to pick up the T29 when its time to leave because of the size and weight factor.

but, m6 is a damn niiiiice player too ...

Id say: if you have the money go for m6, if you want a cheaper, stylish and smaller player get a T29.

Is the progress bar on the miniplayer always that big?

Re: miniplayer or T29

Hello,
I'm also undecided whether to buy to buy M6 or T29.
For me T29's price and size are big advantages.
However I'm concerned about its quality compared to the M6.
Especially the joystick troubles me... If I put the T29 into a small pocket (e.g. jeans pocket), could the joystick be pushed to one side so it changes song without me wanting it? I guess this couldn't happen with M6's touchpad. "Hold" is not really an option as I want to access buttons when I'm on my bycicle without having to get the player out. Is Meizu M6's quality really better?

How's about the sound quality?
The Meizu is said to have an excellent sound quality and I was behind it.
Now I read about the T29 with the Wolfson chip.

Re: miniplayer or T29

i own both players and I must say the Meizu is much preferred over the Teclast

Sure, the Teclast is small, stylish, cheap and has good sound but the controls of the player just arent good.
The little button often takes commands in the wrong way(taking a press for a "left"command for example) and it has no easy way of browsing easely through files...

The Meizu has a much easier control sceme, it browses files fast and easely.
The screen of the Meizu is also better... makingthe Teclasts images and videos look fuzzy in comparison

The Teclast is not very suitable for use on-the-go as you have to hit the little button spot on or it will give a wrong result
The meizu with its touch strip is much easier to use

so... if you dont mind paying a few euros, dollars, pesos or pounds extra... and you want an mp3 player thats easy to control(dont we all?) go for the Meizu

If youre on a budget...go for Teclast

Re: miniplayer or T29

Actually, when I need portability I go for the Teclast.

I simply nudge the joystick upwards (when it is in my pocket) to change song. With the Meizu I have to take it out to skip a song, fearing that I would scratch the touchpad with my nails if not doing so.

A music player is primarily for music, both players does this well in my opinion. The Meizu is more polished in additional features, while the Teclast is smaller, lighter and cheaper but still keeping a similar feature set.

In the end it comes down to personal preference. Of those who have gotten the Teclast T29, I haven't really heard of instances of regret yet.

Finally, I started using the Meizu on firmware T1.006. Now the Meizu has T1.010. The changes have been great! The T1.006 Meizu was buggy and problematic. Therefore, I am sure the Teclast T29 will also become better over time and hard work from Teclast's R&D Department.
