We've gotten our hands on one of the new Teclast C290 players, and created a hands-on video mainly to demonstrate how the new G-Sensor works.

well i am sorry to offend anyone but whoever came up with the "G-Sensor" wants shooting now. what a laugh, i had visions of the user in the video accidentally shaking too hard and sending the shiny new player hurtling across the room. i just don't get it!!!!, i know its a gimmick and i love a gadget and gimmick as much as the next man, but -- come on!!!

i would like to have a go of shaking the device to try it out, but i imagine, if i owned the player i would be back to pressing the buttons almost straight away.

no - not for me, maybe there should be a race between the c290 and c260 to see who can navigate around the fastest, one shaking and one pressing!!?

any how i dont actually have one of these so who am i to comment, im just working on common sense and what i saw in the video - funny though -He He

Well, it certainly looks like you enjoyed the video.

I do agree, the G-Sensor isn't the most useful function and not as easy to use as the regular controls, but it does add a certain "WOW"-factor to the player. Imagine walking in town, taking the player out of your pocket and shaking it with a cool motion to change song - and the bystanders stand in awe.

question - what happens when you are out and about, can the G-Sensor be turned off?

another thing, don't you think that the interface is a little "over-designed", nice though, i like teclast's brand colors but it just seems a little too fussy

It looks like an amusing gimmick that would become a royal PITA, very quickly.

I can't believe the top button is used to scroll down menus and the bottom button is used to scroll up What were they thinking? Completely the wrong way around!

If anyone on the street saw you shaking it they would actually think there was someting wrong with it and that you were shaking to get it working again.

liked the video dosent want to jump and make me buy the player right away but definatley in the future "daps" :} but anywho the gsenser kinda looks impractical
but still looks cool i will wait until flaws are cleared
