The Teclast C290 has recently hit the mainstream Chinese electronics market. This latest player from Teclast plays music in MP3/WMA/APE/FLAC, has the screen bumped up to 2.8" inches, sports dual chips once again (Telechips TCC8200 and Wolfson WM8750BG) and has got a very cool brushed aluminum back finish.

A neat feature of this 7.9mm slim player is something called G-Sensor. It allows you to use the forward/back functions by just shaking the player.

There are improvements on the video front as well, the C290 now plays your favorite Flash (FLV) videos downloaded from the internet directly.

Currently, only the 2GB is out for a very reasonable 499 CNY (approx. $65 USD) in China.

Erm, does it really have the TCC8200 controller? Everywhere else (except houseofdap.com) it is told, that the c290 has a Rockchip.
Moreover, the c290 doesn't support Ogg, hence I think that the telechips information is fake.

does the c290 have better firmware, gui and sound quality then the T29, C280?
if so...count me in

from what i see it has a better gui then the t39 and i like the brushed metal thing in the back but it seems that there is still a lack of file manegment looks like it did not take a meizu ipod approach in the way of choosing songs...again
