No stereo FM?

Hi all,

I just bought my C280 last week, and while impressed with it's features, I was a little shocked to find it only played mono sound in FM mode. After some playing, I found I could achieve stereo only by activating the record mode (whilst in FM mode).

I've gone into settings/radio/stereo/on, but nothing more happens.

Has anyone else had this issue? What was done to resolve it? To me it appears to be a firmware issue, as it's clearly capable of playing stereo, albeit in record mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Baldrick.

I have a T39 and the stereo effect is so small you can hardly notice it. Also you need a very strong signal to get it in the first place

...and there's a "STEREO" indicator on screen that never changes

Now have stereo FM...

Thanks for that, after playing around with different firmware (and losing all use of the player for a while), I was finally able to get the latest version installed.

Not only do I now get stereo FM but the signal seems a lot stronger , also I like the new style of font/display.

I'm very happy now.

I have strongly recommended to our importer that he update his existing stock asap so that the player will be more to consumer liking.

What is the version of the firmware you use? Because my player is dead since I tried v1.10.0001

I had the same problem with my fm reception when it was working
