planning on buy C280..but I got some questions..

Hey guys, I lost my MP3 player couple days ago.. :/ so I'm planning to get one new I'm leaning towards the C280, but before buying i just have a question about the .LRC function, how does it work? does it display the lyrics along with the song in the screen? and does this play APE files? my songs are mostly 320kbps+ rates..will it be able to handle that?(my old one didn't) :/, and I heard that it can play .FLV files also? How does this compare to the C290? and where is the best place to get one?? losing music in the couple of days is painful! I need my music

/end long thread

Hi lelala,

the LRC function works perfect on my C280. If you have an .lrc file in the same directory as the song, the songtext will automaticly be displayed along with the song. It also plays 320 kbps files without problem. The latest firmware version (V01.10.0001) does not support FLV files anymore as it seems, but the prevous versions did. Hope they will add this again soon...

I like the C280 because sound quality is really GREAT compared to other players i heard before - due to the TWO chips inside (Rockchip RK2608 and Wolfson something). And the display is also very good, nearly iPod like..

Some functions which would be important to me are still missing: The shuffle mode (the most important function for me...
) is lousy: The player mostly repeats the first 10 or 15 songs of a directory, even if there are hundreds of mp3s ! This seems to be a general problem of Rockchip based players ...so far.

And i don't understand who needs this A->B repeat function which is totally senseless to me. Instead of this A B repeat button they should add a SHUFFLE button. But it's the same with nearly every player I've seen... In my opinion the world does not need an A-B REPEAT Function ! ! !
Ok, that's all for the moment.

Bye
