Unhappy AVI Converter freeze

I just got my c280 and love it, however every time I run avi converter 4.0 it always freezes up. Should I format it since i just got it? Can someone help me figure this out, please?

You may try to break up the files into smaller ones. just rename it so that the file will still play in sequence(movie1, movie2..etc..). Therefore, if one movie will be around 2 hours, then you can convert the movie into 30 min. files. Just specify the time start and time end.

You can try converting a few minutes and gradually add minutes. Most likely, there will be a point that the converter will freeze at some point. Maybe your pc resources cannot meet the needed requirement(cpu, hard disk free space, memory, etc.. )

Does your pc have enough resources? I mean free disk space, adequate memory, fast enough processor, etc. Usually video conversion needs adequate free space and memory to process the conversion. What version of AVI converter are you using? 3.0 or 4.0?
