Converting Movies

Hello everybody

I recently got a Teclast C280 player. The player is not knew and I have a problem converting the movies for this player. I have tried a lot of converters but I always get Wrong File Format. Can anybody help me with the original copy of AviConverter for the C280?

Send a message via MSN to simsandwhich2
Have you tried the converter that comes with the player?

Search the website for it, i'm sure its somewhere. This converter makes sure all the attributes of the file are compatible.

Yes, the format that the player accepts is very specific, any mismatching bits will cause the player not be able to handle the movie. I suggest to use the AVI Converter come with the installation disc in Windows, or follow my Linux convert guide in Linux.

Seems the C280 uses the rockchip part of the processor... then audio have to be MP2 instead of MP3.
Then key parameters are:

video format: XVID, any bitrate around 1100 is ok
fps: up to 25... 20 recommended for better sound synchronization
resolution: 320x240
audio format: MP2, any bitrate 128 is ok
sampling up to 48k

All this is easily managed by AVIConverter, a free converter that has this parameters hard coded.
Search for it in www.mympxplayer.org, in there is version 4.0

Good luck!!

Lyrical...
Then you have to buy (or crack) Xilisoft Video Converter 3 or Xilisoft MP4 Converter 3 (I have both and I don't see the difference) which are the few converters that support MP2.

WimsEncoder should work too, there are some scripts floating around on Teclast forum, I'll have a look to see if I have it somewhere. It also has 2-pass encoding so should have decent quality too!
