Yea I know, I don't know why they don't go ahead and make the whole thing look as nice as the main menu, they certainly have the resources to do it, and it would add a lot of appeal to their players.

yea its ugly but you can always theme it to make it look really good iv seen alot of impressive themes

go to myxplayer.com i think and download a program called rkedit or rockchip edit in the downloads section and there is a thread somewhere on this forum that shows you how to do it it has to do with changing bitmaps and stuff
