I hate the phone. And why should I pay for the communication, when I can send emails.

But it's no more an issue, I returned it where I bought it.

And I'm now a happy sony nw-a806 owner.

New Firmware available: Taipower Cool Mary TL-C280 firmware 01.09.0007

http://translate.google.com/translat...006-13,GGLG:en

I should warn people that after upgrading I lost access to almost half of my flash memory. I have yet to solve the problem.

FLAC playback is now supported!

Hello,

I'm going to try to explain the problems I had with the 01.09.0007 firmware
as well as the way to FIX the problem.

I'm using a C280 2GB player.

When I first upgraded to the 0007 firmware, my memory went from 1.91GB to 1.18GB. I tried everything to fix it (formating, erasing the partition, downgrading to an older firmware, etc.) and nothing worked. After some research and some posts on this forum, member David15 found a program that fixes the problem!

You can download here : ftp://211.147.250.117/teclast/mp3/Fixtool.rar

The program is in chinese but its easy to figure out.

Make sure you put the player in update mode and connect the USB cable before running the program or it wont work.

After you run it, disconnect USB cable and turn off player.
Then, connect USB and allow player to power up.
Then, run Firmwareupdate program and re-install firmware as usual.

I installed the 0007 firmware again and this time it did not eat up any of my memory.

Hope this helps.

Unhappy C280 up to version 1.09.0009

Hello,

On the Teclast.com website,
I see there is a version 1.09.0009 and even a version 1.09.0008.

Do these newer firmware releases still cause the doomed nand memory issues?

I know that the C280 can now handle FLAC and APE, but what about the memory loss stuff from 1.09.0007?

Has this been eliminated?
