| Latest firmware is 01.09.0009 in my case CI version.
You'll always find users that's claiming that their firmware have bugs, seems that such thing makes them appear as experts.
To start with... we are talking of a RAW firmware as it is any Rockchip, which means that is not a sophisticated that offers automatic functions, as it does iPod FW for instance. To play media files all must be done manually through the browser. Navigation in browser is done pretty well.
But Teclast C260 FW have more functionalities than a normal Rockchip, as an example, it manages the file FM.INI that allows you to put all your FM favourite stations with a name, to be accessed easily.
This FW also is capable of play more media files than a normal RK. It can be played APE beside FLAC, MP3, WMA in all its range. It can be played video format like FLV beside AVI, offering a awesome image.
Concerning touch buttons, which could be its weakest point, it never is a serious bug, some times is a bit unresponsive, but this is not a delicate device which needs precise keying to do is work.
It must not be forgotten that we are dealing with a very robust chip that do all its task consistently. It always works when it is needed.
I like very much my Teclast C260 and I wont compare it with my others players of more sophisticated software as are my Meizu M3 and M6, because is not an expensive device.
Normally bugs goes together with sophistications and this is not the case.
