oppo are great but are they really worth the extra price, for many countries the price is the same or more expensive than known brands, prices may be different in china but if we wnt an oppo player outside of china we are looking at $160 for a 4gb s11 player, even in the UK i can get a creative zen 4gb for less than this, or in the states you can get it for 88$ at amazon (damn thats cheap and no way to get it to the UK), you can even get the latest creative xfi 16gb with wifi for 180$

so while i really like what oppo does there prices are very high, would you say that overall they are as good as the known brand??

I paid $150 cash for mine from a friend of mine. The ONLY reason is because I know how well he takes care of his players. And I really am very happy with the S11 so far. He even made sure the firmware was as up-to-date as it could be so I didn't have to worry about it while learning to use it. So I guess I have no complaints at all with my Oppo.
"Would I buy one outright on a product site?" Absolutely not. Too much money out on shipping, accessories, customs, etc.
With mine I got the cords for TV-out, USB, the silicon case, and a little customer service since it was a close friend who sold it to me. All of that would have cost me soo much more on a product site. And probably little to no help with it at all.
I count myself pretty lucky as far as this purchase goes.
