Don't get wrong BlueMax... I feel lots of respect for this Chinese players, in fact I own 3 of them beside my Cowon D2 (Meizu M3, Onda VX858 and generic ATJ-2135) and all of them brings me satisfaction... but Cowon D2 is definitively in another league.

Basically difference concerns about extra features and support, assuming that this Ramos RM965 is a high quality manufactured device as it's D2. No Chinese player brings the amount of features that Cowon brings... just check all of them in Cowon site or http://www.iaudiophile.net/. Concerning support... the constant upgrade of firmware and safety to apply them makes a big difference with Chinese products.

There is a big difference too in price... which isn't necessarily justified if are required some basic functions like it's listen music and play videos... in such case there is no reason to pay more for a Cowon device. At the end if the sound and image is enough good and there is lots of formats supported... why pay more?.

I trust deeply, as you have read me in other forum (ABI), in Rockchip-Wolfson combination so I have no doubt that RM965 sound great, as my old Onda. Also my Meizu sound great... but this is also very subjective (lately I've been testing and old iPAQ h3800 PDA I own... and it also sound really good). What worth here is how much you love your music.

IMHO Ramos RM965, Teclast T50, to mention some new devices, displaying cover art and with their SD card slot... are enough to make happy anybody despite of excellent is Cowon D2... or the future(?) D3... which surely will be of more high cost.
