Unfortunately, there's nothing in the settings menu to correct this. The settings are very limited. They just control shut-down time and the brightness of the display.
I'm pretty much convinced this is a firmware issue. It's really irritating because I know the V9 does not do this, and the two models use the same hardware!
I hope Oppo comes up with updated firmware soon.
