I would advise you to wait before you try to "upgrade" to firmware. "dancemammal" over on mympxplayer is working on a firmware extractor for Rockchip players like the VX858.
He could be ready quite soon, then you could back up your firmware (which you know works) and theme that instead, maybe better to wait a little than risk bricking your player! |
