The VX878 seems to have a lot of firmware problems. I know Onda is supposed to be a good company, but I haven't seen that reflected in this player. I have firmware 02.00.0005, which I think is the latest one, and it's practically unusable. The backlight never goes off; instead of turning off when it's supposed to, it goes to the brightest level, and any custom equalizer setting makes the volume go down, even if you turn the equalizer up! It's ridiculous! Are these issues just with my player or does everyone who has a VX878 have the same problems? Maybe mine is just defective.
