Thanks for the response, but I'm not sure - one thing I know is that before upgrading the firmware it would fall out of sync more easily than the C260 - not a cosntant lag, but a fast degrading of sync.
You are enconding at 22 fps, I can encode at 25 fps with 580 Kbits/sec video and 240 Kbit/s MP3 and have no degrading sync problems at all.
Upgrade the firmware from .88 to .97 if you haven't yet, you won't regret it.

Its just the constant lag I'm worried about now, which only seems to happen in some DVDs - usually music DVDs, or maybe I just notice it more on those.

So, its fixable and I'm happy with my solution, but I suspect others will notice this too and it maybe something simple to fix it.
